What Frightened Felix?
Judges 5 - "Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD; But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might."
Matthew 13:24-43 - "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Nehemiah 6:1-16 - When all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
Acts 24 - But as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, "Go away for the present, and when I find time I will summon you."

To Die For

Acts 21:1-16 - ...we as well as the local residents began begging him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

Bochim

Ezra 6:1-12 - "Whatever is needed..., it is to be given to them daily without fail, that they may offer acceptable sacrifices to the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king and his sons."
Acts 16:16-40 - When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!"

Testimony

Conversion
Isa. 6:1–8 - Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."
Acts 9:1–22 - "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales....
Isaiah 40:12-31 - Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.
Acts 17:16-34 - "...He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."

Traps and Snares
Joshua 6:12-27 - Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying, "Cursed before the LORD is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates."
Matthew 5:33-48 - "Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two."
Haggai 2:10-23 - "If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?" And the priests answered, "No."
Acts 10 - A voice came to him, "Get up, Peter, kill and eat!" But Peter said, "By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean." Again a voice came to him a second time, "What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy."

Restoration
Joshua 5:10-6:11 - The manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the sons of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during that year.
Matthew 5:17-32 - ...leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother....
Haggai 2:1-9 - "'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison...? The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the LORD of hosts."
Acts 9:23-43 - ...they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles....

I feel, I feel, I feel like a morning star...

Acts of the Spirit
Joshua 3 - ...when those who carried the ark came into the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest), the waters which were flowing down from above stood and rose up in one heap....
Matthew 4:12-25 - From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
A simple message, but it raises a few questions:
Acts 8:14-40 - Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot." Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet....
Matthew 4:12-25 - From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
A simple message, but it raises a few questions:
- What were they supposed to repent from?
- What's a kingdom of heaven?
- What happens when it gets here?

Matthew 4:1-11 - And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
Ezra 3 - They sang, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, saying, "For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever." And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. Yet many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' households, the old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice....
Acts 7:54-8:12 - Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" Having said this, he fell asleep.

Passing the Torch
Joshua 1 - "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go."
Matthew 3 - "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?"
Ezra 1 - "Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem."
Acts 7:1-53 - "David found favor in God's sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. But it was Solomon who built a house for Him."

Revelations 19:5-16 - And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Matthew 28:16-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you...."

Acts 6 - The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

Covenant Kept
Jeremiah 33:14-26 - "Thus says the LORD, 'If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time, then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne....'"
John 20:19-29 - ...Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you." And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side.
Jeremiah 42:1-12 - "May the LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with the whole message with which the LORD your God will send you to us. Whether it is pleasant or unpleasant, we will listen to the voice of the LORD our God...."
Acts 5:12-42 - But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the gates of the prison, and taking them out he said, "Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life."
